Amy Sanders is the Programs and Projects Assistant. She began volunteering with the Food For Thought program shortly after she moved with her family to Irving in 2019 and began working part time for the Irving Schools Foundation in February of 2020. She has a bachelor’s degree in Art Education and has worked as a substitute teacher, piano teacher, and preschool teacher. She is also very involved in her church and is a board member of the MacArthur Band Boosters.
Amy primarily considers herself a stay at home mom. She is the mother of seven children and will be a first time grandma in April. She has three children still at home, two at MacArthur High School and one at Travis Middle School. When she’s not working, Amy enjoys spending time reading, cooking, doing home improvement projects, attending band concerts and gymnastics meets, and loves spending time with her husband, Philip.
General Responsibilities: Assists Program Manager with programs and events, in particular Food for Thought.
