Volunteer Opportunities
“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
The work of Irving Schools Foundation has enriched the lives of thousands of Irving students and teachers since 1985, thanks in large part to the contributions of community members and companies/organizations who generously donate their time and talent to our mission every month.
Volunteer service for ISF is rewarding and flexible—you can raise your hand for the time slots that work best for you, and match your service with the project that speaks to your passion. There are no special skills required to volunteer with us…all you need is a heart to help Irving kids and teachers and a willingness to give the most personal gift of all—yourself! Ready to get started?

Food for Thought
A substantial portion of students in Irving ISD struggle with intermittent or ongoing food insecurity, which means that too many students are coming to school stressed and hungry, and therefore not ready to learn. To combat this problem, Irving Schools Foundation created Food for Thought, a weekend and school break food distribution initiative that enhances the district’s nutrition program. Food For Thought supplies as many as 3,000 food bags for Irving ISD students each week, powered exclusively by community donations and volunteer labor. You can sign up to volunteer on an individual basis, or get involved with Food for Thought as a company or service group by organizing a team bag assembly or hosting a food drive or off-site bag build.
C2C STORE
Irving Schools Foundation sponsors a no-cost school supply “store” where Irving ISD employees can “shop” for essential items (like backpacks and uniforms) for students in need. If you can help sort inventory or run the store during shopping hours (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4-5:30 p.m. during the school year), we’d love to hear from you.
