Mary Richarte is a great addition to our 2021 Board of Directors. As she begins her first year on the board, she looks forward to being more involved in the “behind the scenes” of upcoming events. Mary is also excited to make new friends along the way.
Mary found the Irving Schools Foundation after being involved in the school District’s various committees. She found herself surrounded by people involved in the foundation and led her to question what they did. One day, she began volunteering with Gwen Craig at the C2C Store located at Crockett Middle School. Since then, Mary’s journey of volunteerism brought her great opportunities. Today, she continues volunteering weekly at Bowie Middle School for the Food for Thought Program.
So far, Mary’s favorite memory with the foundation is having volunteered at Nimitz High School for the Souper Bowl of Caring.
“I feel truly blessed to be able to put my passion of volunteering to be able to make a difference in a student’s life.”
Her 2021 goals include helping her family and the students of Irving ISD succeed.
Fun Fact: Mary loves to dance! Especially Tejano music! She also likes going on group cruises!
