anti-bullying
You can foster a culture of kindness in Irving ISD
Just as hungry students will struggle to learn, a young person who is fearful will have trouble reaching his or her full potential, both academically and socially. As part of Irving Schools Foundation’s commitment to caring for the “total student”, we fund activities in support of the Irving ISD’s “Freedom from Bullying” program that increase awareness of the negative impacts of bullying in school settings, equip students and parents with anti-bullying techniques, and generally encourage a culture of kindness that uplifts all students. How the ISF Anti-Bullying Program works
Anti-bullying programming and activities sponsored by ISF have included presentations from expert guest speakers, parent and grandparent engagement seminars, and distribution of snacks, t-shirts, and other items that create an atmosphere of positive excitement about the need for vigilance, how to speak up, how to seek help, and how to spread kindness and compassion. ISF-sponsored anti-bullying programming in Irving ISD is typically carried out in October or November each year.how to help
