After going corporate for a few years, Alyssa is so excited to be back working in the non-profit world. Her degree in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin (hook ‘em!) has led her to some of the most fun jobs ever, most recently as the communications specialist for a small finance company. Prior to that, she served as the marketing director for a YMCA summer camp, and as a content manager for Blood:Water, an organization empowering African communities to address the water and HIV/AIDS crisis.
Now at ISF, Alyssa feels honored to serve her community through the valuable programs that are truly making a difference in the lives of students at Irving ISD. When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with her husband Marcus, and two adorable girls, Graham and Wesley. She loves reading, traveling, singing and listening to music, and cheering on her beloved Longhorns. And she has a mild obsession with the Today Show.
General Responsibilities: In-Kind, Marketing & Volunteering Pertaining to Food for Thought, Supplies for Success, Caring & Sharing, Spark Tank, Employee Giving Campaign, C2C Store, and social media.
