Ways to get help from Irving Schools Foundation—Students and Parents
Irving Schools Foundation exists to serve the “total student” in Irving ISD—by providing funding for enriching learning experiences, celebrating and supporting Irving teachers, supporting disadvantaged students who require help meeting basic needs, and awarding scholarships that make it possible for students to realize their dreams of higher education and successful careers.If you/your child is experiencing economic hardship and need help with nutrition, school uniforms or school supplies, please contact your campus counselor to find out more about resources sponsored by Irving Schools Foundation or that are otherwise available in the school district, or click the “see all programs” button below.
Student Scholarships:
Each year, Irving Schools Foundation awards thousands of dollars in college scholarships to Irving ISD seniors from across the district. Criteria varies—some scholarships are primarily need based, while others are awarded on the basis of academic or extracurricular achievement or interest in a particular career field, or a combination of all three.Important Dates
Deadline for 2024 Seniors Application: October 31, 2023
October 9, 2023: Scholarship Applications Open
October 31, 2023: Scholarship Application Phase One Closes
November 22, 2023: Scholarship Application Phase Two for Eligible Seniors Opens
December 15, 2023: Scholarship Application Phase Two Closes
May 1, 2024: Breakfast with the Stars
How to Apply

Visit the scholarship portal to create an account. Be sure to verify your account after you receive a verification email.

View the list of available scholarships to familiarize yourself with scholarship criteria.

Gather your required documents (resume, personal reference letter, academic reference letter, transcript) and begin considering your essays—you will be required to respond to six essay prompts.
4
Complete the general scholarship application, making sure to save your work as you go. Don’t forget to have someone proofread your responses.
